IGN score: 10 points
"Forza Horizon 6" still maintains the consistently high level of the series at the technical level, and its performance is as powerful as a behemoth that cannot be shaken. Whether it's graphics or sound effects, this is the best work Playground Games has ever created, and it also has the most stunning map they have ever carefully constructed - full of delicate and realistic environmental details and immersive driving routes.
Exploring this world is a joy in itself, the campaign is fast-paced and the ending is so exciting that I just can’t stop now. Perhaps I will always admit that "Forza Horizon 3" is still my favorite open world racing game. After all, who doesn't like racing in their "home backyard"? But make no mistake: "Forza Horizon 6" is undoubtedly the strongest game in the series. A new benchmark in open-world racing games has been set, and it's a masterpiece.

advantage
The best Forza Horizon map to date, remixing various Japanese aesthetics into a beautiful open world
·A huge lineup of models, each with unique characteristics, covering various eras, types and origins
· Racing is exciting, but the best part is actually in the missions that are not racing at all.
·Provides nearly endless new rewards for you to chase and win
·Rich difficulty options and other customization features to make this game whatever you want it to be
shortcoming
Some late-game mechanics force you to explore almost 100% of the map, which seems particularly annoyingly rigid after so much freedom early in the game.
·As a carefully planned event, the form of the exhibition game is now greater than the content.
·Customizing your own manor system does not have a strong sense of investment, and overall it is not worth spending too much effort.

All this attention to detail results in a massive playground filled with authentic landmarks, thrilling courses, and surprise side missions that are truly a ton of fun to play. Occasionally, though—especially early in the game—I felt like I was getting too familiar with the routine. After all, I have played all the games in this series, so aspects such as boss battles and showcase matches do not stand out to me as much as they did ten years ago, or even less exciting than the previous games. Granted, I've never piloted a Gundam-like mecha before, so the details must have changed, but the flow of the game felt familiar. I now know that as long as I drive roughly at the game's preset speed, I'll eventually win, so these boss fights feel like they're just superficial and lacking in substance.
The game features a two-pronged mode, one with the main game and the other with the "Explore Japan" sightseeing tour, which means you can focus on one for an extended period of time, or switch between the two depending on your preference. But eventually, the game's otherwise commendable flexibility becomes rigid, requiring you to complete every race and PR stunt almost perfectly in order to unlock the final "showcase" and experience the game's full content. I understand that players want the final "showcase" to be well-deserved, but Forza Horizon 6 made me feel in control for the first 30 hours, only to suddenly change tack in the final stretch and demand that I play by the rules it set.
In these regards, Forza Horizon 6 does have some shortcomings, but I suspect only those who have invested a lot of time in both games will notice this. If this is your first time playing this game, you'll probably be fascinated by everything about it. But if you've played a lot of Forza games, you may have found, as I did, that the game's appeal starts to fade, and the upcoming Forza Horizon 7 should revolutionize the formula.
Still, Forza Horizon 6 is a beautiful open-world game that's as much a virtual vacation as it is a pure racing game. Moving the series setting to Japan is certainly a long overdue highlight, giving players the best maps yet, while the hundreds of cars, regardless of type or terrain, once again look and handle stunningly. Rich customization options and a pervasive positive experience make every mile count, but if you're at all familiar with the series, you might feel like some of the modes have become a bit predictable. However, these elements remain powerful enough to make Forza Horizon 6 another exciting experience in the most adaptable and fun racing series.
