US operator AT&T announced the launch of a new "eSIM by AT&T" service, providing convenient mobile data access solutions for international travelers traveling to the United States, Canada and Mexico to watch games. The launch of this service is closely tied to the 2026 FIFA World Cup, which will be held in the above three countries from June 11 to July 19, and aims to provide a simple and stable Internet experience for fans arriving in North America to watch the game.

"eSIM by AT&T" is provided in the form of an electronic SIM. Users do not need a physical card and can use it as long as they have an unlocked smartphone that supports the eSIM function. AT&T has designed four "passes" with different validity periods for this service, which users can choose flexibly according to the length of stay. All prices include taxes and various additional charges.

In terms of price, the one-day pass is only valid within the United States and costs $3.99. A seven-day pass costs $15.99 in the United States alone, or $24.99 in the United States, Canada, and Mexico. The 15-day pass costs $25.99 for the US-only version, or $39.99 for the three-country version. The pass, which is valid for 30 days, costs $40.99 for the US single-country version and $59.99 for the three-country version.

No matter which pass is purchased, users can get unlimited data traffic on their mobile phones, and include an additional 5GB hotspot sharing quota, which can be used to provide network connections to other devices. A plan version including unlimited calls and text messages will be launched later.

In terms of usage process, users need to download the "Connect on Demand by AT&T" app on their iOS or Android device before traveling or after arrival. After arriving in the United States, users can purchase the "eSIM by AT&T" pass through the app and complete online activation. They can activate local network services without going to a physical store.

Jenifer Robertson, AT&T executive vice president and general manager, said travelers expect a simple, seamless and reliable connectivity experience from the moment they arrive at their destination. She emphasized that "eSIM by AT&T" provides international travelers with a convenient and flexible way to track every game anytime, anywhere, share travel moments with family and friends, and fully enjoy every important moment during their stay in North America.

According to information released by AT&T, this eSIM service clearly targets World Cup visitors, but it is also applicable to other international travelers who are visiting North America for a short stay and require mobile data connections during the service coverage period.
