According to reports, JD.com has internally launched the "3 12" management principles, which were proposed by founder Liu Qiangdong last week and will be implemented in multiple departments starting this week. The core of this principle is three provisions, which aim to regulate employees' working hours and protect their physical and mental health.

First, in principle, employees’ daily working hours should not exceed 12 hours, with exceptions for large promotions and special projects.

Second, employees are encouraged to get off work no later than 12 o'clock at night. At 24 o'clock, each workplace can guide employees still on duty to take a break and turn off the lights.

Third, employees must not work more than 12 consecutive days on the job to avoid long-term non-stop work.

At present, relevant notices have been gradually issued from the C1 and C2 levels, and the front-line R&D team has received the arrangements.

This new regulation is an adjustment made by JD.com in response to the problem of excessive work intensity of some internal teams. It clearly incorporates the physical and mental health of employees into the management orientation, and standardizes daily office and overtime management by quantifying working time standards.
