Recently, an online ride-hailing driver in Nanchong, Sichuan, took an extra order at 3 a.m.Passengers smelled a strong odor as soon as they got on the bus, and it continued to emit after getting off the bus. Upon inspection, they found that the back row was full of excrement, even seeping into the gaps. The owner of the car, Mr. Chen, said he was disgusted. After driving it to a 4S store for cleaning, the odor still remained. He could only spend more than 1,000 yuan to replace the seats, and he is currently unable to accept orders.

The most unacceptable thing is that Mr. Chen said that the passenger was awake throughout the entire journey and even called the boyfriend on the way. Afterwards, he called the police but was told that it was a personal dispute and the case could not be filed.

Didi officially issued a statement today stating that it was very concerned about Master Chen's experience and promptly checked the status of the order.

The order occurred in the early morning of May 27 and was a proxy order.

After the passengers got off the bus, the driver, Master Chen, found that the rear seats and floor mats of the vehicle were contaminated with excrement, and the vehicle was damaged and unable to operate normally.

Master Chen immediately chose to call the police and submitted problem feedback to the platform. After receiving the feedback, Didi immediately contacted Master Chen and the user who actually placed the order, hoping to urge them to apologize to the driver and bear the driver's losses.

The person who requested the ride said he did not know the actual rider and could not be contacted.

At present, Master Chen’s vehicle is still under maintenance, and the platform is also actively cooperating with the police to assist in follow-up processing.

Taking into account the damage to Master Chen's vehicle and the impact of this encounter, the platform will help Master Chen bear the related costs of seat replacement and vehicle cleaning, and will provide a smooth subsidy to help the master return to normal order taking as soon as possible.

Passengers are urged to ride in a civilized manner and to communicate with the driver promptly if they encounter special circumstances on the way.
