On May 30, local time, a meteor exploded over the coast of Massachusetts in the northeastern United States, causing a loud noise. Residents in many parts of the state heard explosions. The Massachusetts Executive Office of Public Safety and Security stated on social media that it has received relevant reports, the cause is unclear at this time, and it does not believe that there is any public safety threat.

It is reported that the loud noise occurred at approximately 14:11 that day. Satellite data showed the meteor entered the atmosphere over the South Shore area near Boston. There are currently no reports of where the meteor landed.
