The upcoming Xbox Game Showcase on June 7 will announce any news about the Helix Project console. Xbox Chief Content Officer Matt Booty said in the latest Xbox Podcast that Microsoft will not share too much about the company's overall strategic plan for the future under the leadership of Xbox CEO Asha Sharma. Instead, this Xbox Game Showcase will focus entirely on the games themselves.
"We really want to focus on the development team and the game. There won't be broad strategic issues discussed at this showcase. Of course, we do have some strategic matters and there are some things that we want to clarify. But the core of this event is the game," he said. "In the long run, we want to make the right decisions, not hasty decisions. There will be no news about the Helix console. The Helix will not be present at this showcase. We want to make everything about it as perfect as possible."

Buti said Xbox will answer "broader strategic questions" and reveal information about the Helix console at some point in the future.
The Xbox Game Showcase will take place on Sunday, June 7, and will be immediately followed by an Xbox face-to-face focusing on Gears of War: E-Day.
One of the games confirmed to be unveiled at the Xbox Game Showcase is the "Fable" reboot, which has been postponed to February 2027. Buti said Microsoft will be bringing "some really great Fable content" to the showcase.
"Fable" was originally the second blockbuster work of developer Playground in 2026, after "Forza Horizon 6" was successfully released. Microsoft’s other masterpiece in 2026 is “Halo: Battle Evolved”, which will be the first time the Halo series will be launched on the PlayStation platform.
