Recently, Microsoft Xbox Chief Operating Officer Matt Booty mentioned in a new episode of the Official Xbox Podcast that the Xbox conference (Xbox Games Showcase 2026) will be held in the early morning of June 8.
Matt Booty made it clear that the new next-generation console "Project Helix" will not be unveiled at this conference, nor will any relevant new information be announced.
Booty said the conference will focus on showcasing game content that will be launched in the next 12 months. "We hope to focus on the team and the game rather than broadly discussing strategic issues." After the Xbox conference, a special face-to-face meeting focusing on "Gears of War: Days of Incident" will be held immediately.
Booty emphasized that other platform logos will be displayed at the press conference to clarify which platforms their games will be launched on. This also means that Microsoft's multi-platform game strategy remains.
