On June 1, a Xinjiang netizen posted a video saying that when he took his child to play in the Urumqi Botanical Garden Amusement Park, a 3A-level scenic spot, the child was kicked by a robot while watching a robot performance. The video shows that while the robot was performing martial arts movements, it accurately kicked a boy onlookers in the abdomen. The boy covered his abdomen and fell to the ground in pain.

The parents said that they had already called the police and the incident was handled. Fortunately, the child was fine. However, they were very dissatisfied with the attitude of the person in charge. The staff showed no response when the incident occurred.

After the above-mentioned video attracted widespread attention, the official account of the scenic spot involved posted four robot-related videos one after another. In the video, a sign saying "I was wrong, the master is Zhang Sanfeng" was hung around the robot's neck, and the robot apologized. One of the videos was accompanied by the text "It's built to last", which seemed to respond to the incident.

On June 3, a reporter from the Dahe Newspaper "See" called the botanical garden to explain his intention, but the call was hung up and has been unable to be connected since then. I contacted the netizen via private message for follow-up, but received no reply.

The reporter saw in the live broadcast room of the scenic spot’s official account that the anchor was still promoting the robot performance, saying that it was included in the scenic spot’s tickets. A reporter asked about the follow-up to the little boy kicked by the robot in the live broadcast room. The anchor said, "The robot didn't hit well and its accuracy was not good. It has been practicing and fully calibrating in the past two days. It will be more accurate in the future and a similar situation will not happen again." When asked whether he was responsible for the little boy's inspection costs, the anchor first said "covered", and then changed his mind and said that this issue needs to be verified by the organizer, and did not directly answer whether to add guardrails or other measures. He also said, “There will be no follow-up, and the robot’s 10,000-word review has ended.” The anchor introduced in the scenic spot promotion: "This robot is the same Yushu robot from the Spring Festival Gala. It is worth 200,000 yuan and is still on display."

The reporter inquired and learned that the scenic spot is a national 3A-level scenic spot. The reporter learned on the group purchase page of the scenic spot that the robot demonstration only costs one yuan, and it is marked with "every day" in a prominent position. The performances include: future atomic robot performance, panda performance, and robot dog performance, which are marked as Yushu G1 robot on the details page.

On the same day, the reporter called the cultural tourism department of Urumqi High-tech Zone. The staff said that they would call the reporter back after verifying the situation. As of press time, no reply had been received.
