According to "The Information", Apple is working with Google and Nvidia to jointly provide computing power and model support for the next generation of Siri, which deeply integrates artificial intelligence capabilities. Different from the usual strategy of emphasizing self-research or diversified supply chain, Apple will rely more heavily on Nvidia's Blackwell series of chips and Google's Gemini large model for the new generation of Siri.

The report pointed out that some Siri queries will be run directly on Google Cloud. Specifically, related requests will be processed based on authorized versions of the Gemini model. This means that in some complex semantic understanding or large-scale reasoning scenarios, Siri's response will be completed by third-party cloud computing power, rather than relying entirely on Apple's own data centers and terminal devices.

At the hardware level, Google's data center will use Nvidia's latest generation Blackwell B200 chip. This platform integrates confidential computing (confidential compute) functions that can encrypt data during the chip execution process. In other words, even if user data needs to leave the Apple ecosystem during the processing stage, the risk of privacy leakage can still be reduced to a lower level through end-to-end encryption and a trusted execution environment.

Apple has always regarded privacy and security as key selling points of the brand, and this cooperation continues this line. Although some requests will be completed through third-party cloud services, Apple still uses encryption technology and architectural design to ensure that user data will not be exposed to partners or other third-party systems during transmission and processing.

According to existing information, a new generation of Siri equipped with a higher level of intelligence is expected to debut in September this year, and Apple users are expected to experience this major upgrade in the fall update. The outside world is generally concerned about whether this cooperation with Google and Nvidia can help Siri narrow or even close the gap with its competitors in the era of large models.
