Apple has updated its developer website with a set of the latest design resources covering major platforms such as iOS 27 and macOS Golden Gate, providing a complete reference for developers to adapt to the new version of Liquid Glass visual style. This batch of resources is refined to interface elements such as buttons, arrows, and dialog boxes, making it easier for third-party applications to have an appearance closer to the native system experience.

Similar to the first launch of Liquid Glass in macOS Tahoe in 2025, Apple has also released the latest specifications through the design resource library this time. Developers can directly check and reuse various UI components to achieve layered and transparent texture effects consistent with the system in applications. The article points out that all changes related to the new version of Liquid Glass have basically been integrated into this new batch of documents.
In terms of icons, the resource library shows the new Liquid Glass icon style in detail, including the new Apple map application icon that was previously highlighted at the press conference. Developers can see its specific layering effects and light and shadow processing methods. Apple's own application icons are provided in three versions in the library: default version, dark version and Light Clear version, providing a standard reference for presentation in different appearance modes. At the same time, Apple has also provided the latest style specifications for notification corner icons (red dots) to facilitate third-party applications to unify the visual style of reminders.

This collection of design elements is currently available as a Sketch library, updated just in time for Apple’s WWDC week to draw to a close. Apple has also provided a Figma version of the resource library in the past, so it is generally expected that a corresponding version will be launched later this time, but a specific timetable has not been released yet.
It should be noted that Apple has not yet provided corresponding Liquid Glass design resource libraries for visionOS 27, watchOS 27 and tvOS 27, and the relevant platforms are still absent. However, in the same design resources site, Apple has provided visionOS with Photoshop tools for creating parallax or immersive images, as well as various badge resources for Apple Pay support logos. In addition, it also includes templates for various hardware devices, from Apple Watch to iPhone, to facilitate developers to design the layout of interfaces and promotional materials.
In terms of fonts and icons, developers can download a variety of Apple's official fonts and Apple's own SF Symbols symbol library in this resource library. SF Symbols currently contains more than 7,000 icons, covering a large number of common functional symbols such as sharing. It is one of the important basic resources for building a unified human-computer interface language for the system. Through this update, Apple has systematically disclosed a series of visual adjustments to Liquid Glass to developers, laying a more unified design standard for the upcoming iOS 27 and macOS Golden Gate application ecosystem.
