On June 12, SpaceX officially landed on Nasdaq on Friday. CEO Elon Musk told employees before the bell-ringing ceremony that he initially thought SpaceX’s probability of success was less than 10%. Musk did not go to New York on Friday, but stayed at SpaceX’s Texas headquarters to ring the bell remotely. Before the bell-ringing ceremony, he delivered a speech to employees.

"It's hard to believe that this small company that started out in a warehouse in El Segundo is now going public with the largest IPO in history," he told the employees gathered in his office. "If someone had told me that this was going to happen, I would have said: You must be on something very powerful. I didn't think SpaceX had even a 10% chance of success."

"We hope that whoever wants to go to the moon, Mars, or anywhere in the solar system, or even beyond the solar system one day in the future, we can take you there. Not just a few astronauts, I mean you, really you, whoever is watching me speak, SpaceX wants to send you to the moon, Mars, and eventually even beyond." He said.
