In 2020, Apple launched the iPhone 12 mini, followed a year later by the iPhone 13 mini, much to the delight of fans of small-sized phones. However, after nearly three years on the market, the end may be coming for the 5.4-inch device.

T AGPH23Bloomberg reporter Mark Gurman pointed out that there is not much inventory of iPhone 13 mini. Apple’s online store in the United States stated that the delivery time of some models is expected to be 2-3 weeks, and a few models even require 6-8 weeks. The shortage indicates that the iPhone 13 mini may be discontinued after Apple launches new iPhones at its "Wonderlust" conference on Tuesday.

If you are interested in buying an iPhone 13 mini, now may be your last chance, as Apple is likely to discontinue the device after launching the iPhone 15 series on Tuesday. Apple’s new product series may include 6.1-inch iPhone 15, 6.7-inch iPhone 15 Plus, 6.1-inch iPhone 15 Pro, 6.7-inch iPhone 15 Pro Max, 4.7-inch iPhone SE and 6.1-inch iPhone 13.

While there initially appeared to be pent-up demand for the smaller iPhone, actual data suggests that iPhone mini sales were lower relative to other iPhone models. According to estimates by research firm CIRP, in April 2022, iPhone 13 mini sales accounted for only 3% of overall U.S. iPhone 13 sales in the first quarter of that year.

Going forward, users who want to buy a small iPhone from Apple will only have to choose the entry-level iPhone SE, but even this device is rumored to be updated in the next year or two with a larger 6.1-inch display. At least for now, Apple seems to have realized that small phones aren't that popular after all.
