White House officials revealed that US President Trump will go to North Dakota to attend an event on July 1, when he will take the brand-new presidential plane donated to the United States by the Qatari government for the first time.

The Boeing 747-8's maiden flight was to carry Trump to the dedication ceremony of the Theodore Roosevelt Presidential Library. Next week, Trump will hold a series of events full of American local style to commemorate the 250th anniversary of the founding of the United States. This inauguration ceremony is one of them. Several officials who spoke on condition of anonymity and participated in internal consultations disclosed the travel plan.
The U.S. Air Force calls this aircraft the VC-25B transitional aircraft, which will temporarily assume the presidential travel mission until Boeing's newly customized presidential aircraft fleet is delivered in 2028. At the beginning of this term, Trump’s acceptance of the aircraft as a gift from Qatar sparked huge controversy, with critics raising multiple ethical and national security concerns. The aircraft is also one of the most valuable foreign gifts to the U.S. government.
