Recently, the latest news about Apple’s first foldable screen iPhone has leaked out again. A set of black model photos purported to be the foldable screen iPhone Ultra were exposed on the Internet, attracting attention. It is widely expected in the industry that Apple will officially release this new foldable screen product together with the iPhone 18 Pro series in September this year.

According to reports, this folding screen model is currently commonly known as the "iPhone Ultra". Its model has previously appeared in a white version, but this time it shows a black version for the first time. Judging from the model, the device adopts a wide-screen design that folds inward horizontally, and the overall shape is closer to large-screen folding models such as Huawei Pura X Max.
Leaked information shows that in the folded state, the thickness of this iPhone Ultra is close to the Samsung Galaxy Z Fold7, while in the unfolded state the thickness of the body is only about 4.5mm, focusing on a thin and light folding form. The back of the fuselage is equipped with a dual-camera combination. The two cameras are placed in a pill-shaped camera module, and the layout is relatively simple.
It can also be seen from the model that after the inner screen is unfolded, the overall visual appearance is similar to a reduced version of iPad mini, emphasizing the wide display experience. The hole in the upper left corner of the inner screen is used to place the inner screen selfie camera, using a punch-hole solution instead of notch or smart island.
The outer secondary screen also uses a central punch-hole design to provide a hole for the front camera on the outer screen. In terms of the button layout of the fuselage, the volume buttons are arranged on the top edge of the fuselage, the power button is on the side, and an independent camera control button is reserved below the power button to facilitate quick access to camera functions.
In terms of configuration, it is reported that this folding screen iPhone Ultra will be equipped with an A20 Pro chip and equipped with 12GB of memory, positioning it for flagship-level performance. In terms of screen specifications, the outer screen size in folded form is approximately 5.49 inches, while the inner flexible screen size after unfolding is approximately 7.76 inches.
According to current rumors, Apple is expected to officially launch the folding screen iPhone Ultra at a press conference on September 8, and will appear at the same venue as the iPhone 18 Pro and iPhone 18 Pro Max. If the relevant revelations are true, this will be a key step for Apple in the field of folding screen mobile phones, and it also means that the competition in the folding form of the high-end mobile phone market will further escalate.
