Yesterday, Xici Hutong.com issued a letter to users, announcing that the website will be officially relaunched on July 1, 2026, and the new official website will be updated to www.xici.com. The website has been suspended for more than five years since it was ordered offline due to program loopholes in April 2021.

In the letter, Xici reviewed the reasons for its long-term inability to restart: In 2020, the source code and database were delivered to a third-party company to develop a new version, but the program was ordered to go offline due to multiple loopholes and security risks; after Fuzhou Feiyang took over through a judicial auction in 2022, the original development company refused to hand over the source code and database, and the dispute is still in litigation.
The new version of Xici's whole site code and structure was completely independently developed by the technical team, abandoning the old version's problem structure, and has been connected to a self-developed large model for full-site AI governance such as membership review and content screening. Future plans include: Xici Mall, X Card e-commerce system, Xici city-wide services, as well as the opening of self-developed programming languages and large model capabilities.
Xici was founded in 1998, and the number of registered users once exceeded 38 million. There are differences in the interface and operation of the new version from the old version in the initial stage of launch. The operation team stated that it will continue to optimize based on user feedback.
