Trump previously made a cameo in the 1992 classic Christmas movie "Home Alone 2," but recent reports claim that the former US president used "bullying" to force the production team to make a cameo. At present, he has responded to this statement, saying that these are all rumors and that he has never behaved like this.

Trump said on social media: "This is completely different from the truth. That cameo helped the movie become a success. If they felt bullied or didn't want me, why would they include me in the movie and let me be in the movie for over 30 years?"

He also said that he was actually "begged" to star in the role and that he was "very busy" and "didn't want to star" at the time, but the producers were "perseverant" so he agreed.

Film director Chris Columbia previously told Business Insider: "Like most locations in New York City, you had to pay to shoot there. We approached the Plaza Hotel, which Trump owned at the time, because we wanted to shoot in China. We couldn't recreate the Plaza Hotel on a soundstage."

"Trump agreed. We paid the fee, but he also said, 'The only way you can use the Plaza Hotel is if I star in a movie.' So we agreed to let him be in the movie."

"But when we first screened it, something strange happened: When Trump came on screen, people cheered. So I said to my editor, 'Keep him in the movie. This is the audience's moment.' But he did join the movie in a bullying way."
