Recently, according to the latest public judicial information, Jia Yueting and LeTV Automobile (Beijing) Co., Ltd. have added a record of persons subject to execution, corresponding to an execution target of more than 35.31 million yuan. The court responsible for execution is the Beijing Fourth Intermediate People's Court.
The LeTV Automobile (Beijing) Co., Ltd. involved in the case was registered and established in July 2014. The current legal representative is Liu Qiuping, with a total registered capital of 50 million yuan. Its business scope covers the import and export of goods, technology import and export, agency import and export, etc. The equity structure is jointly held by Fafa Automobile (China) Co., Ltd. and LeTV Zhile Technology (Beijing) Co., Ltd.
In mid-April last year, Jia Yueting was restored to execution by the court, with a corresponding amount of approximately 832 million yuan. The court with jurisdiction over the execution was the Beijing Financial Court.
Sorting through the case handling process, we can see that as early as February 2024, Jia Yueting and LeTV Holdings Co., Ltd. were enforced for the first time for about 832 million yuan. After adding this new execution record, the total amount of execution under Jia Yueting's name has exceeded 1.387 billion yuan. According to the latest updated statistics, the total amount of execution has exceeded 1.4 billion yuan.
Previously, Jia Yueting has repeatedly talked about the debt issue that has attracted the most attention from the outside world. He publicly stated that the debt of more than 10 billion US dollars guaranteed for related entities of LeTV in the early years, and the total remaining outstanding debt is about 2 billion US dollars.
According to the relevant agreement reached between him and his creditors, he only needs to repay 40% of the total debt of US$2 billion, which is US$7.8 billion. After completing the debt repayment process under the Chinese legal framework, he can return to China. The relevant personal debt restructuring has been completed in the United States. Currently, there are no personal debts left in the United States.
Jia Yueting mentioned that in the years since he came to the United States to start his own business, the outside world's evaluation of him has always been completely polarized. Some people think that he is a liar who deliberately makes money, while others think that he is a down-to-earth entrepreneur and adventurer who dares to venture and try.
He admitted that in his early years he had tried to explain and refute to the outside world, but in the current public perception environment, failed entrepreneurs who failed to complete the project were often directly labeled as liars. No matter how much excuses were made, it would be difficult to change the inherent impression.
