Some consumers posted on social media that they saw staff wearing leather shoes standing on the iron plates and iron racks used to prepare cooked food in a Hema store. The consumer immediately contacted the store staff with the photo, and the other person said, "The oysters have shells."
Consumers also said that they contacted Hema online after the incident, and later received a reply from the store saying that employees had been retrained and the iron plates and iron frames would be replaced. "The subsequent store contacted me and said that the employee involved had been fired. The store had provided training when joining the company. It was the employee's personal behavior."
"At 9 o'clock in the evening, there are still many customers in the store, so blatantly. Outside the scope of the photo, there are many staff in the area next to the barbecue grill. Everyone is doing their own work. There is no surprise at all about this employee behavior. It seems to be commonplace." The consumer wrote.
In this regard, Hema customer service said that in response to the illegal operation problems reported by netizens by store employees, we immediately located the stores involved and verified the situation. This behavior seriously violates Hema's food safety bottom line, and we have severely dealt with the violators. At the same time, the stalls of the stores involved were closed for rectification, and the entire set of oven equipment was replaced to eliminate potential health hazards. We have initiated self-examination of all stores and strengthened inspections and employee training to resolutely prevent such problems from happening again.
