Recently, the China National Space Administration held a commissioning ceremony for the Land Detection-1 Group 01 satellite in Beijing.Representatives from the Ministry of Natural Resources, the Ministry of Emergency Management, the National Forestry and Grassland Administration, the Chinese Academy of Sciences, the Aerospace Science and Technology Group and other units attended the ceremony and jointly signed the satellite commissioning certificate. At the same time, relevant units involved in satellite operation signed a long-term satellite operation and management agreement.

Land Exploration 1 Group 01 satellites are scientific research satellites in the "National Civilian Space Infrastructure Medium and Long-term Development Plan (2015-2025)" and consist of two satellites, A and B.

At 7:44 on January 26, 2022, my country successfully launched the Land Detection-101 Group A satellite using the Long March 4C carrier rocket at the Jiuquan Satellite Launch Center.

At 7:44 on February 27, 2022, my country successfully launched the Land Detection-101 Group B satellite using the Long March 4C carrier rocket at the Jiuquan Satellite Launch Center.

In 2023, the two satellites will complete on-orbit testing and are in good condition. Their performance meets the general requirements for satellite engineering development and application system requirements, and they are qualified for use.

After the satellite is put into use, it will closely focus on geology, land, disaster reduction, surveying and mapping, earthquakes, forestry and grassland and other industries. It can provide high-resolution operational deformation monitoring services for the geological industry, business expansion for surface classification and feature identification in the land industry, business expansion of digital orthophotos for surveying and mapping, and serve national major disaster emergency response, national major earthquake disasters, forest and grassland forest resource monitoring, etc.

In the later period, the satellite will gradually expand the application and promotion of foreign data and serve the joint construction of the “Belt and Road” initiative.

The Land Detection-1 01 group of stars used the double-star orbiting mode to photograph cloudy and rainy areas across the country and some international cloudy and rainy areas, and used the double-star following mode to photograph typical deformation areas in China.

372 maps of various types were produced, including national orthophotos, digital surface models of some cloudy and rainy areas, deformation field products of typical deformation areas, and various emergency and forest and grass monitoring products.

Specifically, it includes debris flow in Zhouqu, Gansu, landslides in Ankang, Shaanxi, land use classification in Beijing and other places, digital surface models in Yunnan and other places, Luding earthquake in Sichuan, mining disaster in Inner Mongolia, forest/non-forest distribution in Hainan Province, etc.
