Ahead of the 2024 International Consumer Electronics Show (CES) in Las Vegas, the United States, Samsung announced plans to launch three Odyssey OLED gaming PC monitors. The products will be unveiled at next week's CES show in Las Vegas and include two regular-sized displays, as well as an upgraded version of the 49-inch Odyssey OLED G9 display.

All three Odyssey displays will use "OLED glare-free technology." This will allow users to experience the best visuals from the display in any lighting condition. All three monitors will also support VESA Display HDR True Black 400 for vibrant colors and deep blacks, as well as AMD FreeSync Premium Pro, which will help reduce graphics tearing and stuttering when playing PC games.

The 27-inch 2560x1440 Samsung OLEDG6 and the 32-inch 3840x2160 Samsung OLEDG8 are both flat-screen displays with an aspect ratio of 16:9. These two products also use a new 3.9mm ultra-thin metal frame design. Both products also support what the company calls CoreLighting+, which generates ambient light from the back of the display. The G6 has a refresh rate of 360Hz, while the G8 has a refresh rate of 240Hz.

The curved fish screen Samsung Odyssey OLED G9 is also about to launch an upgraded version. It has a resolution of 5120x1440 and an aspect ratio of 32:9. Both the G9 and the smaller G8 will feature what the company calls MultiControl:

MultiControl allows users to seamlessly transfer images and/or text between Samsung monitors and other Samsung devices, including Galaxy Book, tablets or phones, allowing users to work more smoothly and efficiently with a mouse and keyboard.

Samsung Odyssey OLED G9 and G8 displays can also serve as Samsung SmartThings hubs to seamlessly connect to Matter-supported smart home devices. Both monitors will also integrate with Samsung Smart TVs and the GamingHub platform to stream movies, TV shows and games from the cloud without the need for a PC.

The release date and price of this product line update have not yet been announced.
