SpaceX CEO Elon Musk said on Tuesday that Starlink could have twice as many satellites in orbit as all other satellites combined by 2024. An X user posted that Musk said on October 20, 2022, "SpaceX has more active satellites in orbit than all other satellites combined, and will soon reach twice as many as other satellites."

Musk responded: "Maybe next year."

In August this year, Musk said that SpaceX may launch 80% of the world's payloads this year. This is consistent with the 80% payload target announced by Musk as early as March this year.

The company plans more than 90 launches this year, up from the 61 it completed in 2022. Earlier this month, Musk also said the company aims to conduct 10 Falcon rocket launches per month by the end of this year and 12 per month next year.
