In a few days, the 2024 U.S. Consumer Electronics Show (CES2024) will open. Many technology companies choose to release news before the show. Dell is one of them. The PC manufacturer announced today that it will display and release two new UltraSharp PC monitors, designed to help reduce eye fatigue.

Dell said in a blog post that both the new UltraSharp 40 Curved Thunderbolt Hub monitor and UltraSharp 34 Curved Thunderbolt Hub monitor have received TUVRheinland's five-star eye comfort certification. This is a new standard for monitors to pass tests that show monitors help reduce eye fatigue.

The new Ultrasharp monitor has a screen refresh rate of 120Hz and is also equipped with an ambient light sensor that can change the screen brightness and color temperature according to local light conditions. Both monitors also feature more advanced LED backlighting that reduces blue light from 50% to less than 35%.

The UltraSharp40 Curved Thunderbolt Hub monitor includes a 40-inch curved ultrawide display with a resolution of 5120×2160.

Dell said: This monitor is even better in terms of connection options. It provides Thunderbolt 4, which can achieve 140W power transmission with a single cable. It also supports 2.5Gbps high-speed wired Ethernet connection via RJ45, as well as HDMI2.1FRL (Fixed Rate Link) and DisplayPort1.4 for smooth image transmission with minimal loss of visual quality.

The smaller 34-inch Dell UltraSharp 34 Curved Thunderbolt Hub monitor has a resolution of 3440×1440. It also supports Thunderbolt 4, but only supports 90W of port transmission.

Both new Dell UltraSharp monitors will go on sale on February 27th. The Dell UltraSharp40 monitor has a list price of $2,399.99, while the Dell UltraSharp34 monitor has a list price of $1,019.99.
