Google Maps will make it easier for users to navigate when using Android Auto, as the platform has begun developing the ability to display 3D buildings while navigating in cars and mobile apps. Previously, if users wanted to access 3D buildings, they had to open them in a Google Maps page and they wouldn't show up in the navigation, but Google is clearly working on changing that, and it's undoubtedly the right move.

Some users are starting to report that Google Maps on Android and iOS can now display 3D buildings during navigation, but you have to enable 3D view before starting navigation and zoom in on the map slightly to make sure everything is shown. It's worth noting that this feature isn't available for everyone, and we're not sure when it will be rolled out to everyone.

One Reddit user shared an image of the map, and you can see how the navigation now displays 3D buildings, making the whole process a lot simpler for everyone.

As mentioned earlier, this feature isn't rolling out to everyone, so you'll need to wait for your version of Google Maps to start showing this feature. Still, it's definitely a good thing that Google is starting to roll out this feature, as we believe it will help a lot of people navigate easier, especially in built-up cities.
