At 19:20 on January 5, 2024, the Kuaizhou-1A solid launch vehicle was ignited and lifted off at the Jiuquan Satellite Launch Center. In the "four-star with one arrow" method, the 15-18 stars of the Tianmu-1 occultation detection constellation were sent into the predetermined orbit. The launch mission was a complete success.
This is the 30th launch of the Kuaizhou series launch vehicles, the first launch of the Kuaizhou-1A rocket in 2024, and the first launch of China Aerospace in 2024.
From March 22, 2023 to now, in less than a year, the Kuaizhou-1A rocket has launched the Tianmu-1 constellation 03-22 stars into the predetermined orbit in the form of continuous launches of "5 batches of 20 stars".
At this point, the Tianmu-1 constellation stage network has been completed, demonstrating the batch supply capability of the Kuaizhou-1A rocket.
Constellation 15-18 of Tianmu-1 were developed by China Aerospace Science and Industry System Company, and were assembled and integrated by the Space General Department of China Aerospace Science and Industry Second Academy.It is mainly used to obtain information on global atmospheric environment elements. After the constellation is completed, it can realize three-dimensional and integrated business detection of the global all-weather ocean, atmosphere, and ionosphere.
The completed Tianmu-1 constellation sun-synchronous orbit operational sub-constellation,It can obtain more than 25,000 atmospheric profiles every day, and has operational detection capabilities covering the global 300*300 km grid evenly for 6 hours., to continuously and stably provide refined meteorological services for my country's numerical weather forecasting and users in various industries.
