Apple announced today that Apple Music Classical, an independent app designed specifically for classical music, will launch a localized version in mainland China on January 24. It is reported that users who have subscribed to AppleMusic can use "AppleMusic Classical Music" from January 24th without additional payment and without advertising.
According to Apple’s official introduction, “AppleMusic Classical Music” has the world’s leading classical music streaming music library, with more than 5 million tracks.
Data shows that the "AppleMusic Classical Music" APP currently contains more than 120,000 works by more than 20,000 composers, including more than 400,000 movements, of which thousands of albums support immersive spatial audio experiences.
It is understood that there are hundreds or even thousands of versions of classic movement recordings in this APP. For example, there are 18,000 versions of Beethoven's "Ninth Symphony".
Among them, "AppleMusic Classical Music" can also provide thousands of selected recommendations based on related works and composers, and invites the world's top classical music experts, artists and opinion leaders to create nearly 700 selected song lists.
The APP is available on all iPhones and iPads running iOS 15.4 or higher.
In addition, some media stated that after "Apple Music Classical" was launched in North America and Europe in 2023, it immediately became the most popular free app in the App Store.
And two days after the APP was released, its classical music album also entered the album charts in more than 140 countries and regions around the world, setting a new record for this type of music.
