When we use Bing to search Google Chrome, Bing will add a large banner ad in the top position for a long time, telling users to use Microsoft Edge browser instead of switching to Chrome. There are many styles of this kind of advertisement, but this screenshot recently released by the well-known technology blogger @LinusTechTips is really shocking.

The title of this advertising banner is NONONONONOPLEASESTAY, and the content is a bunch of PLEASE with NOOOO at the bottom. Simply put, what Microsoft wants to express is to stay on Microsoft Edge instead of downloading Chrome.

Since Blue Dot has not seen this advertising image in many tests, I even thought it was modified by pressing F12, but @LinusTechTips is not joking, so this is true.

@LinusTechTips also complained that occasionally you have to waste 20 seconds by accidentally opening Microsoft Edge, because if you open Edge after not opening it for a while, Microsoft will ask you to agree to collect data, log in to your account, set personalization, and a lot of other things. It just so happens that Blue Dot hasn’t opened Edge for a while, and I experienced the same time when I just tested it, wasting 20 seconds.

Blue Dot also discovered another problem during testing. Bing Search has downgraded/hidden the Chrome official website (the Bing Search mentioned in this article refers to the international version of Bing Search). This downgrade/hide operation is embarrassing.

At first glance, there was no official Chrome website in any of the search results, even when I continued to scroll down and turned to the second page. Then I looked carefully and finally found the problem. It turned out that Bing had folded the official Chrome website. If you don't look carefully, you can't see it at all.

When searching for the keyword Chrome, the number one ranking is not the Chrome official website:

Continuing to scroll down, I didn’t see it either, but if I looked carefully I found that it was folded:

When searching for Google Chrome, the first one is the official website:

Searching for other keywords, the Chrome official website is also folded:
