David Benioff and D.B. Weiss, who produced the TV series "Game of Thrones", could have retained their signatures in subsequent spin-off series and other works of "Game of Thrones", but they did not do so.

When David Benioff and D. B. Weiss recently announced the release of the American version of the new drama "The Three-Body Problem", they mentioned the issue of retaining signatures on the "Game of Thrones" spin-offs. Understand that you can earn substantial monetary income just by keeping your byline, without having to do any work. However, the two producers were not moved by money and flatly refused, which is why their names were not seen on the staff list of "Dragon Family".

"I don't think there's such a thing as free money. For us, it felt like the stress of that hands-off approach - whether it was success or failure - wasn't worth it if our name was retained, especially if it was completely independent and non-involved," Weiss said of their surprising selection.

"HBO was a little confused," Benioff added. "I remember their lawyers saying, 'But this is real money, we're just paying you.'"
