NVIDIA may have found an alternative to the Chinese market. The development of artificial intelligence in India has begun to accelerate. Recently, the company has received a huge artificial intelligence order from Indian data center operator Yotta. The total order value is expected to exceed the US$1 billion mark.

NVIDIA's AI wave has hit a snag recently, with new U.S. regulations making it difficult for the company to sell its AI products in mature regions like China. However, NVIDIA seems to have gained traction from an emerging player in the global industry, none other than India. Reuters revealed that Indian artificial intelligence company Yotto has placed an order worth more than $500 million with NVIDIA. This is a huge milestone for both parties. Yotto is accelerating the development of its artificial intelligence cloud services, while NVIDIA has found a potential new region to promote its business.

Sunil Gupta, CEO and co-founder of Yotto, revealed that the new order includes 16,000 pieces of NVIDIA H100 and GH200 AIGPU, which are expected to be delivered by March 2025. In addition, the 16,000 NVIDIA H100 GPUs previously ordered by the company will also be delivered before July. Therefore, according to rough estimates, the total order value has exceeded the billion dollar mark, and Yotto has therefore become one of NVIDIA's "valued" customers. In addition, CEO Jensen Huang himself also stated that the Indian market has huge potential and predicted that India will become one of the largest markets in the world.

Recently, the efforts of the Indian government and enterprises to promote the development of science and technology in the country have been accelerating, especially after Indian Prime Minister Narendra Modi proposed the initiative of "Made in India" products. Artificial intelligence has once again become another area of concern for Indian companies. According to the CEO of Yotto, the Indian artificial intelligence market is expected to grow to the US$14 billion mark by 2030, thus creating competition among local technology giants.

NVIDIA is also among them. Due to the unfavorable situation and policies in China, NVIDIA may have found another region to sell its artificial intelligence products. Now that the United States has normalized relations with India, the company may start to focus on the Indian market, which means we may see the company deepen its presence in the region.
