Baidu's U.S. stocks plunged 7% last Friday (12th). Hong Kong stocks fell 9.8 yuan (-8.627%) in early trading today (15th). Baidu-W (09888.HK) fell by 9.8 yuan (-8.627%), with short selling of HKD 84.3 million and a short selling ratio of 24.370%. Hong Kong stocks opened 5.6% lower and then fell further, hitting a low of 104.8 yuan. It is currently trading at 104.9 yuan, down 7.66%, with 2.5365 million shares traded, involving 270 million yuan.
According to a report by the South China Morning Post, some mainland military-related research labs are using Baidu’s Wenxin Yiyan model and iFlytek’s Spark model to make military AI more humane.
However, Baidu responded that the Wenxin model is a public online version, has no cooperation or affiliation with the research laboratory, and knows nothing about the research project.
