Today at the largest automobile export terminal in the country - Shanghai Haitong International Automobile Export Terminal,A 7,600-car LNG dual-fuel ro-ro ocean-going vessel will make its maiden voyage to Europe.This is the clean energy ro-ro ship with the largest loading capacity currently invested and built by Chinese shipowners, helping my country's own brand cars to accelerate their overseas expansion.
The ship is a 200-meter-long, 38-meter-wide, 13-story ocean-going ship with 7,600 parking spaces and a displacement of more than 40,000 tons. It innovatively uses LNG dual-fuel clean power, which can reduce carbon dioxide emissions by 40%.
Officially named "SAIC Anji Shencheng", it is the first clean energy vehicle roll-on ship invested and built by a Chinese shipowner and the world's largest active load capacity.
The first batch of self-owned brand new cars from SAIC, Dongfeng and Yutong are heading to Europe.
After loading at Shanghai Port, the ship will also arrive at various domestic ports, carrying a total of nearly 5,000 new cars of China's own brands bound for Europe, about half of which are new energy vehicles.
It is worth mentioning that BYD's "EXPLORERNO.1" car transport ro-ro ship has also recently put on its maiden voyage, also shipped to Europe. It is 199.9 meters long and has 7,000 standard parking spaces.
