Alaska Airlines issued a statement on the 17th local time saying that its maintenance and engineering technicians had completed a preliminary inspection of its Boeing 737 MAX9 fleet at the request of the Federal Aviation Administration and provided relevant data to Boeing. Boeing will share the data with the Federal Aviation Administration for further analysis.

Alaska Airlines also announced that it will continue to cancel flights operated by this type of passenger aircraft until the 21st. The cancellation of this type of passenger aircraft will affect 110 to 150 flights every day.

An Alaska Airlines Boeing 737 MAX9 passenger plane had an accident in mid-air on January 5. A built-in emergency door on the side of the cabin fell off, and the plane made an emergency landing.
