The State Administration of Radio, Film and Television recently issued a public notice on the "Online Audiovisual Ratings Indicators and Calculation Methods." (Click here to view the source text) In the notice, clear technical requirements and statistical specifications were made for "user validity", "valid playback behavior", "statistical cycle determination", "statistical requirements for the number of users", "duration and number of playback behavior", etc.
The "online playback volume" that netizens are most concerned about will also usher in a unified standard.
The notice points out that the requirements for determining effective playback behavior are:1. The playback rate is less than 3 times the speed; 2. The playback time is longer than 3 seconds.
The play count statistics requirements should be based on the single play count and other play count related indicators. Single play identifiers that do not contain valid play behaviors will not be included in the play count statistics.
In addition, user validity must first be determined before index statistics:
For example, users who generate more than 60 viewing behaviors within 1 minute; users who generate more than 10,000 viewing behaviors within 1 day; users who use unconventional operating methods such as video brushing software to play videos are not considered valid users, and their related audio-visual behaviors will not be counted.
This incident aroused heated discussions among netizens: "Get rid of the current popular online dramas", "Some online dramas dare to say that they have hundreds of millions of views a day, how dare you say that", "Parallel imports will appear, and if you want to watch something good, you finally dare to look at the ratings."
