Apple's latest macOS Sonoma 14.3 update has completed the testing process and is now available for download on Macs and MacBooks. As the first major update of macOSSonoma in 2024, version 14.3 is another version after macOSSonoma14.2 released on December 11. The macOS Sonoma 14.2.1 update was released on December 19 and mainly includes bug fixes.
The macOS version is released at the same time as updates to iOS 17.3, iPadOS 17.3, tvOS 17.3 and watchOS 10.3. As always, most of the changes are happening on the iOS version, with macOS seeing relatively minor changes in comparison.
Although the functional changes in macOS Sonoma 14.3 are not major, most of the changes are related to behind the scenes, such as performance improvements, bug fixes, and security updates.
The version number released this time is 23D56, which replaces macOS14.2.1 with version number 23C71.
To update to macOS Sonoma 14.2, open the System Settings app, select General, and then select Software Update. If an update is available, click Update now and follow the on-screen instructions.
Updating your device's operating system is often one of the best ways to keep your hardware running optimally and securely, and if you don't set up automatic updates, it's recommended to install them as soon as possible.
