Before the release of "Phantom Beast Palu", the game official published a long article on the Note.com website, titled "The fate will be decided in three days, an accidental story of "Phantom Beast Palu"", in which Takuro Mizobe, CEO of developer PocketPair, talked about the production cost of "Phantom Beast Palu" and the story of the development process.
TakuroMizobe said,The development cost of "Phantom Parlu" is 1 billion yen (approximately 48.42 million yuan converted into RMB)). During the development process, Takuro Mizobe did not consciously manage game costs, because PocketPair was not a large development company, and "Eidolon Parlu" was not a large game at the beginning. It was originally planned to be developed within a year.At that time, PocketPair had only ten employees in the company, and the team responsible for "Eidolon Parlu" only had four people.
In the end, "Phantom Palu" was not completed and released within one year as planned. In fact, according to Takuro Mizobe, the game was very bad at the time and was still far from being released. They lacked manpower, funds and development time. Then Takuro Mizobe decided to complete the game regardless of the cost. He said: "The budget limit starts from zero in your bank account balance, and when it reaches zero, you borrow money."
In the subsequent time, the "Eidolon Parlu" project hired more than 40 employees and outsourced a lot of work, and finally reached a state where it could be launched to the world. But according to Takuro Mizobe, the "Phantom Palu" game is still far from being completed.
