Apple on Tuesday asked a London court to dismiss a massive lawsuit worth about $1 billion on behalf of more than 1,500 app developers over its App Store fees. This case is worth up to 785 million pounds (equivalent to about 7.1 billion yuan), one of several cases Apple has faced in the UK.

Competition law professor and former OECD economist Sean Ennis is leading the case.He accused Apple of charging third-party developers unfair commissions of up to 30% to purchase apps or other content.. Lawyers for Sean Ennis say Apple abused its dominant position in the market by distributing apps on its devices and are seeking damages for the British developer.

However,Apple says 85% of developers on its App Store pay no commission at all, and asked the court to drop the case.
