Abstract:
Arion Kurtaj, who is accused of participating in the 2022 "GTA6/Grand Theft Auto 6" data leak incident, is scheduled to be tried at Woolwich Crown Court on November 9. Information posted by Red Lion Chambers on LinkedIn shows that he has been evaluated as able to plead guilty after approximately two years of hospital treatment.

The 2022 invasion resulted in approximately 90 unfinished game footage appearing online, including early versions of Vice City, protagonists Jason and Lucia, and development tools and other unfinished materials. Rockstar later confirmed that an unauthorized third party had gained access to its systems and said it did not expect the matter to affect development progress in the long term.

Kurtaj was once deemed unfit to defend himself in 2023. At that time, the jury considered whether he had committed the relevant acts and did not determine criminal guilt in the usual way. The case subsequently entered the appeal process; the court held that six earlier pieces of evidence related to hacking crimes should not have been admitted, but retained the jury's original findings.

Another batch of allegedly leaked footage comes from a different source and has no known connection to Kurtaj. The scheduled court date of November 9th is ten days away from the November 19th release date of "GTA6".
