Abstract:
Apple announced on October 20 that it has officially begun to provide official repair parts sales services for iPhone 18 Pro, iPhone 18 Pro Max, Mac Studio equipped with M5 Max and M5 Ultra chips, and Mac mini equipped with M6 or M5 Pro chips, further expanding the coverage of its self-service repair plan (Self Service Repair).

Apple will launch a self-service repair program in 2022, allowing users in eligible areas to purchase original replacement parts, purchase or rent the tools required for repair, and complete device repairs by themselves. At the same time, Apple also provides official repair manuals for many products, detailing the repair processes and operating steps for various replaceable parts.
After this update, Apple’s self-service repair store has added support for a number of recently released devices. It is worth noting that this expansion was carried out simultaneously with the new supply chain cooperation news announced by Apple that day. Apple said that more U.S. suppliers are participating in the production and manufacturing of iPhone 18 Pro and iPhone Duo-related components.

For iPhone 18 Pro and iPhone 18 Pro Max users, you can now purchase a variety of official replacement parts and supporting repair tools, covering the back cover glass, battery, bottom speaker, camera module, display, body shell, front camera, logic motherboard, main microphone, SIM card tray, Taptic Engine tactile feedback component, top speaker and other parts.
After selecting the corresponding repair category, users can not only purchase replacement parts, but also obtain tools and consumables required for corresponding repairs, including adhesive cutting tools, suction cups, nylon probes, glue removal tools, torque screwdrivers, and various screws. These tools and accessories are also available separately.
In terms of price, the official rear camera module of the iPhone 18 Pro series is priced at US$249. Although this model adds a variable aperture system, the camera replacement price remains the same as the previous generation model. Apple also provides an old parts recycling and return program. Users can receive a refund of US$59.76 after returning the original camera, and the actual repair cost can be reduced to US$189.24.

For Mac Studio models, Apple now provides official replacement parts for almost all major components, from Thunderbolt and USB-C interfaces to fans, speakers, SSD storage modules, logic boards, and power modules.
In comparison, the number of repair parts that can be purchased for Mac mini is slightly smaller, but it still covers core components such as fans, speakers, logic motherboards, batteries, power modules, and other common repair items.
With this expansion, Apple’s self-service repair program has been further opened to high-end iPhone and latest Mac product lines, allowing users with technical capabilities to directly obtain official parts, tools and repair information, and obtain more repair options outside of authorized repair centers.
