Source NateTheHate said that selected media and reviewers may receive a review version or access to "GTA6" before the end of October. This time has not been officially confirmed, and it cannot be determined when various media will start to experience the game.
Insider Gaming also stated that the review of "GTA6" will be released before its release on November 19. The media stated that it has been informed of the preliminary evaluation release date, but considering that it may still be adjusted near the release, the specific date has not been disclosed yet. If NateTheHate's news is accurate, reviewers may have had a few weeks to play the game; whether they were exposed to the final version, a near-final version, or some other form of access is still unclear.
There are also questions about how the evaluation version will be delivered. A report in early 2026 claimed that Rockstar may not send digital redemption codes or physical versions to reviewers as usual, but instead invite selected media to experience it in a controlled environment to reduce the risk of leaks of game files and plots. Rockstar did not officially confirm this arrangement at the time, and it is impossible to determine whether the relevant plans have changed at this stage.
Therefore, the "evaluation version" mentioned in the new news does not necessarily mean that the media can hold a copy of the game on its own. The current release schedule is for "GTA6" to be launched on PlayStation 5 and Xbox Series X|S on November 19.
