On August 27, 2024, in Hangzhou, Zhejiang, a detention decision letter from the Binjiang District Branch of the Hangzhou Municipal Public Security Bureau circulated on the Internet.
According to Jimu News, on August 27, a netizen posted that the Internet celebrity "Tietou Punishes Evil and Promotes Good" (hereinafter referred to as "Tietou") had been captured by the police, and posted a seizure decision from the Binjiang District Branch of the Hangzhou Municipal Public Security Bureau. On the afternoon of the 27th, the reporter learned from the Hangzhou police that "Tietou" had indeed been controlled and relevant cases were under investigation.
The circulating detention decision from the Binjiang District Branch of the Hangzhou Municipal Public Security Bureau shows that Dong, male, was born in 1987 and his address is in a community in Binjiang District, Hangzhou. The bureau found the following property while investigating the extortion case against Guo Moumou in Binjiang District, Hangzhou City, Zhejiang Province. The documents can be used to prove the suspect's guilt or innocence. It has now decided to seize 3 Apple mobile phones, 1 mobile hard drive, and 59 supermarket cards marked with "100" each.

In August 2023, Tietou reported New Oriental for making up classes in violation of regulations. In November of that year, Tietou issued an article stating that the Urban Management and Administrative Law Enforcement Bureau of Gongshu District, Hangzhou City, Zhejiang Province had punished New Oriental for illegal make-up classes in subjects.
In October 2023, Tietou also released a trailer video saying that he would crack down on fake Oriental Screening.
In response to this, Oriental Selection said: "Recently, under the guise of 'fighting counterfeiting,' a certain online anchor distorted facts, maliciously 'protected rights,' and published a large number of remarks that discredited Oriental Selection, seriously infringing on the company's reputation and causing trouble to consumers. We have issued a lawyer's letter and will take necessary measures to safeguard our legitimate rights and interests."
It is also worth noting that in August 2023, some netizens broke the news that Tietou had been sentenced for opening a casino and illegal detention. Pictures sent by netizens show that the China Judgment Documents Network released a criminal ruling issued by the Intermediate People's Court of Chenzhou City, Hunan Province in November 2015, titled "Second Instance Criminal Ruling on Dong Mouming's Casino Opening and Illegal Detention Case."

Another "Dong Mouming's Sentence Commutation Ruling" published in December 2016 showed that during the execution of his sentence, Dong Mouming was able to conscientiously abide by prison regulations, accept education and reform, and indeed showed repentance, and was reduced to one year in prison. The sentence starts from January 26, 2015 and ends on May 23, 2017.
In response to this, Tietou said: "I have experienced too many messy things since I was a child. What they said may be true or false. No matter what, these things have passed. I can only say that I have paid the price for what I did, whether it was legal or illegal."
In January 2024, "Tietou" revealed his pornography experience during a live broadcast at 1:30 in the morning, triggering reports and boycotts from netizens.
In February, Tietou’s accounts on Douyin, Kuaishou, Weibo and other platforms were banned.
