Summary:
In the past week, leaked videos of "GTA6" have appeared frequently, and Rockstar has just issued a statement to apologize to fans. Because fans have been waiting for more news and official demonstrations for too long, but they did not expect to meet players in this way. Officials said they were "heartbroken" by the leak. Officials will release a full demo of the game on August 28th.

The following is the full statement:
Everyone,
We know that the events of the past week have left many people waiting for our response. Frankly, it is very heartbreaking for the entire development team to see gameplay footage of GTA 6 leaked in this way. Obviously, we never wanted everyone to see the game this way after waiting for so long. We're deeply sorry that this has taken so long - getting the game to completion (it's almost there now!), releasing more game details and official gameplay demos, and providing you with all the information you've been wanting to know is taking longer than we expected.
We are very much looking forward to showing everyone this extended presentation tomorrow. Preparing this content took longer than we hoped, but like everything we do, we knew we had to exceed your expectations, and we were determined to deliver the game at the level you expect and deserve. Although it is regrettable that this leak may have affected the originally planned game experience due to some spoilers, we still hope that everyone will wait patiently for a while and wait until November 19 to experience this game for yourself.
We would also like to thank all of the players who have sent us messages of support and encouragement over the past week. Your words mean more to the entire team than you can imagine. At the end of the day, this game is made for you. Without you, we wouldn't have the chance to make these games.
We look forward to sharing more news with you soon.
Sincerely,
Rockstar Games
