Abstract:

On October 11, Zhou Hongyi posted a video describing his accidental fall while rock climbing, resulting in a comminuted fracture of his left knee. Zhou Hongyi said that he accidentally fell while bouldering at a height of about three meters. The moment he landed, Zhou Hongyi failed to make a correct cushioning action, and his left leg alone bore all the impact. He heard an abnormal sound from his knee on the spot, and his left leg immediately lost the ability to move.

The imaging report showed that in addition to comminuted fractures of the left tibia, sural bean, and left fibula fracture, he also had effusion in the left knee joint, swelling of the surrounding soft tissue, and degenerative changes in the left knee joint.

Zhou Hongyi said that due to the injury, all business trips and outings will be canceled in the next two to three months. In the next month, he will need to wear a retainer at home to rest, and all related itineraries will be adjusted. He lamented that extreme rock climbing poses a lot of accidental risks to older people.
