Seagate launches new Exos 24TB hard drive. It is built based on the traditional CMR, has a 3.5-inch specification and a rotation speed of 7200RPM.At the same time, the Exos series 24TB hard drive has 10 disks, each with a capacity of 2.4TB. It is Seagate’s highest storage density hard drive. It is suitable for very large-scale enterprises and data centers and provides industry-leading total cost of ownership (TCO).

Designed for maximum storage and rack space, the Exos 24TB hard drive uses mature technology and supports SAS and SATA interfaces.
Equipped with an enhanced cache, it delivers performance three times higher than solutions using only read and write cache, with sequential data transfer speeds reaching 285MB/s.
Not only that, this hard drive supports Seagate security encryption technology, provides Self-Encrypting Drive (SED), SED-FIPS and Instant Secure Erase (ISE), and comes with a five-year limited warranty.
Seagate said that in the future it will shift to hard drives equipped with HAMR (heat-assisted magnetic recording) technology, with a capacity of 30TB+, and is expected to begin mass production in early 2024.
