Canonical today released its latest software product, MicroCloud, which is focused on enterprises and it hopes to use it to promote new Ubuntu Pro and support subscriptions. The goal of MicroCloud software is to easily deploy a private cloud that can "achieve a full-featured cloud in minutes" on Ubuntu Linux.
MicroCloud builds open source-based private cloud solutions based on its LXD container infrastructure tools, Ceph and OVN. They claim that users' private cloud deployment is as easy as using the Snap command:

MicroCloud is based on these open source software components and aims to provide automatic security updates through Snap, support all the features of LXD, and provide high-availability, cluster-friendly deployment in minutes, and is said to be easy to achieve large-scale replication. Additionally, Canonical's commercial focus is on promoting Ubuntu Pro and other commercial support subscriptions.
The new MicroCloud page promotes this private cloud path as "low-touch, efficient, and reliable." For more details about MicroCloud, see today’s announcement:
