The refreshed Model 3 produced at Tesla's Shanghai Gigafactory has begun to be delivered in large quantities for export. At 1 a.m. on the 19th, after completing the border inspection procedures, the Japanese-registered Ro-Ro ship "Prostar" departed from Shanghai Nangang Terminal carrying 1,391 new Tesla Model 3s and MG and other new energy cars and engineering vehicles. Among them, 1,200 new Teslas were the main models transported on this voyage.

It is understood that many improvements such as the interior and cockpit of the refreshed Tesla Model 3 come from Tesla’s Shanghai R&D Innovation Center. At the same time, Shanghai Lingang Super Factory, Tesla's main export center in the world, has completed production line upgrades this year in terms of producing new models and improving automation levels. By the third quarter, the factory's annual output had increased to 950,000 vehicles.

At the car yard at Shanghai Nangang Terminal, a large number of new Model 3s of various colors are waiting to be shipped for export. With the support of the "automobile bonded storage" business in the Yangshan Special Comprehensive Bonded Zone, Tesla has achieved port-side production and port-side exports. In the early stage, small batches of new Teslas were exported to Asia-Pacific, Europe, North America and other places via foreign trade ro-ro ships via Shanghai Nangang Terminal. It is expected that the subsequent export delivery volume of Tesla's refreshed Model 3 will continue to grow.

In order to ensure that automobile exports accelerate in the customs clearance process, Yangshan Border Inspection Station pays close attention to the arrival and departure dynamics of foreign trade ro-ro ships, the types and quantities of ro-ro operations, the processing of relevant documents, and the needs of personnel to board and disembark foreign ships. Based on the ship's time in the port and the workload, it formulates "one ship, one policy" customs clearance security measures such as "one-time processing" of entry and exit procedures and "expedited processing" of batch boarding operation permits to ensure that foreign trade inbound and outbound ro-ro ships can operate upon arrival at the port and leave the port upon completion.
