Apple CEO Tim Cook yesterday predicted that "big things" will happen this week, and it turns out that "big things" may be plural. Following today’s announcement of a new iPad Air powered by an M3 chip, Bloomberg’s Mark Gurman now says that Apple plans to announce the long-rumored MacBook Air powered by an M4 chip tomorrow.
He published an article on X and said: "Tomorrow, the M4 MacBook Air will become part of a new product wave."
Gurman initially said that the new MacBook Air would be released "earlier" than the iPhone 16e and the new iPad Air, but this information was obviously wrong.
Like the new iPad Air and last month's iPhone 16e, the new MacBook Air should be announced in a press release on the Apple Newsroom page.
In addition to the M4 chip, the new 13-inch and 15-inch MacBook Air are expected to feature Thunderbolt 4 ports, CenterStage cameras, longer battery life, and other minor upgrades. No changes in design are expected.
