Although many developers are now focusing on service-based games, the frequent emergence of stand-alone masterpieces in recent years proves that stand-alone games have strong vitality and market appeal, and many players prefer to play single-player games rather than multi-player games.

According to CDPR’s recent financial report, the Polish game developer that has created the “Witcher” series and “Cyberpunk 2077” stated that they will not stop making single-player games because player demand for such games will never disappear, and single-player games are still very popular.

CDPR wrote in the financial report: "We know that the video game market will continue to evolve, but we believe that top single-player games rooted in strong franchises and immersive narratives will continue to be popular. Our experience and our brands, such as "Cyberpunk" and "The Witcher", two series we are of course happy to continue to develop, will help us establish a strong position in the market and outline a bright future."

CDPR co-CEO Michał Nowakowski also said that CDPR will cooperate with global technology manufacturers and innovation leaders to bring top-quality games to fans.

Previously, CDPR confirmed that it will not use generative AI in upcoming games, which means that the sequels of "The Witcher 4" and "Cyberpunk 2077" will not use generative AI technology.

It is worth mentioning that Rocksteady will also return to the "Batman" single-player game after the failure of "Suicide Squad".
