On March 29, the China Electric Vehicles 100 Forum (2025) was held in Beijing. Lei Jun, founder, chairman and CEO of Mi Group, attended the speech. A month ago, Xiaomi Motors' flagship model, the Mi SU7 Ultra, was released. The pre-sale price of the bike exceeded 500,000 yuan. However, just 2 hours after it went on sale, the order volume exceeded 10,000 units, completing the company's previously scheduled annual sales target of 10,000 units ahead of schedule.

At the scene, Lei Jun said when mentioning this matter, "I am extremely shocked. We sold 10,000 units so quickly and completed the full year's task ahead of schedule." Lei Jun made a special inquiry and found that "the annual sales of luxury cars with more than 500,000 units in 2024 will be 121,000 units."

"Anyway, I am quite excited. This means that the super luxury market has opened the door to Xiaomi." Lei Jun said, "I still remember what I said at the time. I said that the past is in the past. This is an era of new energy vehicles and an era of comprehensive rise of domestic brands."

In Lei Jun’s view, such a result is “also the result of the joint efforts of all domestic automobile brands.”
