MediaTek has been making great strides with its top- and mid-range smartphone chips. The Dimensity 9300 looks like an impressive chipset, and the Dimensity 8300 Ultra is no exception. Because as MediaTek continues to improve, we can finally see other companies ensuring equal or better performance with their competing chipsets.

Today, we had the opportunity to see the MediaTek Dimensity 8300 Ultra’s energy efficiency curves in Geeknbench5 and compare it with the Dimensity 8200, Dimensity 9000, Snapdragon 8+Gen.1 and Snapdragon 7+Gen.2. See the comparison below.

As you can see from the shared image above, MediaTek Dimensity 8300 Ultra, although it is a mid-range chip, leads the comparison with all chipsets. Not only that, its performance is also leading in all aspects. In the second image, you can see that this chipset has a better GPU than both Dimensity 9000 and Snapdragon 8+Gen1. This certainly shows a huge improvement over past chips.

MediaTek Dimensity 8300 also brings a number of artificial intelligence features. Mobile phones using this chipset are already on the market and will be sold in international markets in the near future. We've seen the gap between flagship and mid-range phone performance slowly shrink over the years, and this is just more proof of that progress.
