Mobile phones launched in recent years generally have built-in AI assistants, providing convenient generative AI functions, but are these functions really useful to the public?According to the latest Android Authority survey, more than a quarter of more than 6,000 respondents said they were not using these AI features at all.
Since overseas Android phones are basically equipped with Google Gemini Assistant, Android Authority conducted a Gemini usage habits survey on its users and collected the opinions of nearly 6,000 netizens.

Among them, 40.06% of the respondents said they would use Gemini for summarization and search, which has roughly replaced the original Google search; 19.89% used Gemini to write or rewrite content.
Another 13.78% of people use Gemini to analyze images, or enable Gemini Live to recognize objects and text in front of them.
Surprisingly, 26% (1,547) netizens said they completely ignored Gemini services and had no usage habits. The high proportion shocked Android Authority.
Some netizens said that there are no AI services such as Gemini and Bixby in their mobile phones, but they have not missed any information and functions, and believe that their mobile phones do not need AI to function normally.
