[Vice Minister of Commerce Ling Ji attended the 25th Economic and Trade Ministers’ Meeting of the Shanghai Cooperation Organization Member States] On September 17, the 25th Economic and Trade Ministers’ Meeting of the Shanghai Cooperation Organization member states was held in Dushanbe, Tajikistan. Ling Ji, Vice Minister of Commerce and Deputy International Trade Representative, attended the meeting. The meeting focused on implementing the important consensus reached at the SCO Bishkek Summit, planning the next stage of regional economic cooperation arrangements, and making economic and trade preparations for the SCO Heads of Government (Prime Minister) Council meeting to be held within the year. Ling Ji said that since the establishment of the SCO 25 years ago, all parties have upheld the "Shanghai Spirit" and jointly promoted regional economic cooperation to achieve remarkable results, assisting the development of various countries and benefiting people's well-being. China is willing to work with all parties, guided by the high-quality Belt and Road Initiative, to optimize and expand trade among member states, continuously deepen cooperation in production and supply chains, continue to improve the "hard connectivity" of infrastructure and the "soft connectivity" of rules and standards, further enhance the level of trade and investment liberalization and facilitation, and continue to make new contributions to building a community of a shared future for the SCO. All parties agreed that they should continue to strengthen communication, build consensus, support an open and inclusive multilateral trading system, promote the quality and upgrading of intra-regional trade and industrial cooperation, deepen cooperation in the fields of digital economy, green development, technological innovation and other fields, improve the level of interconnection, and continue to promote deeper and more substantial regional economic cooperation. During the meeting, all parties adopted the "Joint Statement of the Ministers of Economy and Trade of the SCO Member States", approved the "Regulations of the SCO Member States' Task Force on Developing the Creative Economy" and signed the minutes of the meeting.
